13th SABIS® Global Sports Tournament Newsletter
The much-awaited 13th SABIS® Global Sports Tournament recently took place from April 28 to 30, 2023, co-hosted by the International Schools of Choueifat in Sharjah and Ajman, U.A.E. Held every other year, this network-wide event brings together students from across the SABIS® Network to showcase their athletic talent, team spirit, and true sportsmanship in a series of sports challenges in four categories: Football, Basketball, Swimming, and Track & Field—which included sprints, relays, and long jump.
Competitions were close as contestants showed a high level of commitment and competence. ISC-Muscat athletes demonstrated exceptional skills and had their own share of achievements.
In Track & Field competitions, the Muscat Girls' team won 1st place in the Girls 4x100 Relay, and Azza Al Hinai won 2nd place in the Under 16 Girls 100m Sprint.
In Swimming, Youssof Abdelmotelb won 3rd place in the Under 16 Boys 25m Breaststroke.
As for Football, Anas Emam was granted the special Under 10 Football Boys Golden Boot Award.
