First Model United Nations Conference Held at ISC-Muscat

The International School of Choueifat – Muscat (ISC-Muscat) hosted its inaugural Model United Nations (MUN) conference on January 24-25, 2025, with over 150 students from seven schools in Oman.

The event brought together delegates from ISC-Muscat and students from several schools across Oman to discuss critical global issues, including digital censorship, cultural heritage preservation, proxy wars, and space exploration.

Students represented countries, researched global issues, and engaged in diplomatic debates, improving their public speaking and negotiation skills. The event's highlight was the keynote speech by H.E. Dr. Jean Jabbour, WHO Representative for Oman, who addressed the delegates on global concerns and international cooperation.

As the conference concluded, delegates reflected on their experiences, gaining not only an understanding of global governance but also an appreciation for the importance of dialogue, empathy, and collective action in shaping a better future for all.

ISC-Muscat is dedicated to inspiring young individuals to actively engage with international diplomacy and global issues, equipping them with the perspective and skills needed to become effective leaders.
